Luke’s Teddy Bear

I will never forget the way you looked at me when I was getting ready to leave the house.

You would stare at me just waiting for me to say “OK, you can come, get your scarf”

I will never forget the way you would stand on the chair looking out the window at me when I took another dog out to play.

You would just glare; I know what you were thinking.

I will never forget the sparkle in your eyes when I took you for ice cream.

You would always get it all over your chin.

I will never forget the way your tail went in circles when you saw a puppy.

You would be so gentle with them.

I will never forget the silly look you would give me when you wanted me to play.

You would follow right behind me, banging into me on purpose.

I will never forget the noble look you had, many times I would just stop and watch you.

You would stand there like a king.

I will never forget the way you loved to swim, the big waves splashing over you.

You would bring that stick back every time.

I will never forget the feel of you pure black shinny coat.

You would push against me so I could run my fingers thru it.

I will never forget the look of horror when one of the other dogs took your Teddy.

You would run around and whine till you got it back.

I will never forget the way your eyes would be half closed and your paws would kneed

your Teddy.

You would suck it like a baby, you were so happy.

I will never forget the last day we had together.

You were there.

I will never forget.
